Day for the Fathers

Jonathan had his first official Father's Day this month. I made breakfast for him in the morning and let him take a nice nap after church. I don't know about you, but to me- naps are gold. For dinner, we had chicken enchiladas. We made enough so we could also take a pan to a couple in our ward who just had twins. We got to see the little babies- 2 girls. They were asleep when we went by. They are sooooo little. Peter seemed huge compared to them. It was fun to see newborns again. It's only been 5 months since Peter was even close to that size, but it doesn't seem possible that he was once so small. When we got home, we took our dinner and went to the park to eat and listen to the music.

Peter looked like this for about 5 minutes. He was rather unimpressed.

Jonathan loved his food.

It was delicious.

We eventually released Peter from his stroller and we gave him an apple piece in his mesh food keeper.

He loved it.

He then discovered the grass. He loved that too. He loves to touch it and watch it. Overall, I'd say we had a good Father's Day. Peter has a great dad. It's been great to watch Jonathan be a dad to Peter. He is a fantastic dad and loves the baby so very much. Jonathan makes the best faces and sounds to make Peter happy. He cuddles and plays with him. Jonathan takes Peter in the pool, carries him in the front pack, gets him at night when he needs to nurse, and is always patient and loving. Jonathan is an awesome dad. We love you babe.
