Thanksgiving Beach Trip!!

During Thanksgiving Break, we went to California to celebrate and to have our wedding open house. It was lots of fun. We drove out with Jonathan's sister, Christina and my siblings, David and Allison. This made for a very long, very squishy car ride. But it was totally worth it. One of the days we were there, we took a trip to the beach! It was fantastic.

Lots of sand and ocean!

Beccah and Allison braved the freezing water.

The beauty that is beach life.

We found a clam. It was alive! I let it sit on the sand to see if it would do anything. It finally stuck its tongue out and started digging around.

It was the coolest thing EVER!!

I poked its tongue at one point. It felt weird.

David and Allison had a hole digging race. David's real plan was to dig a hole that would make the sand under my chair crumble....tricky brother. We eventually put the clam into the watery hole. He loved it there and dug under the sand and covered himself up in a matter of seconds! It was super neat to see.

We watched a lovely sunset.

It was quite fantastic.

We had a sweet fire pit where we grilled some hotdogs and then made some s'mores. Delicious.

In love. :) No but really, this man is fantastic.

Nelson and Gleaves family unite! David, Allison, Robin and Jonathan. I'm glad they got to come out with us. It was great having them there. I love you all!

Trunk or Treat!

For Halloween this year, we attended our ward's Trunk or Treat. It was delightful. The children were super cute, the costumes were exciting, and we had the coolest trunk EVER!

We were clearly a dinosaur dig. We had trees, a volcano, and a bucket of dirt and little plastic dinosaurs that kids had to dig for before we gave them candy.

Christina was paleontologist.

I was a candy giving dinosaur.

Here I'm giving a brief demonstration of how to dig for dinosaurs.

Dinotopia.

It was her job to find more dinosaurs. That's what paleontologists do.

Happy Halloween!
