Happy Halloween!

We were pretty excited for Halloween this year. I (Robin) came home from a crazy parade/party/surgar-high-kids day at school, and we got ready for the ward trunk-or-treat. We were going to be mummies and then do something cool for the car.

I got wrapped up first. Within a few minutes, we saw the flaw in our plan. Toilet paper rips very easily. My costume was about 25% destroyed before I finished wrapping Jonathan. We finished the wrapping, and gathered our things and some spare TP for fixes. Within 3 minutes we scrapped the mummy costumes and went on to Plan B. We didn't actually have a plan B, so we looked through our closets and found some costumes.

I became a Red Sox player. Luckily Jonathan has a baseball shirt from when he was about 14 that is nice and long and fit me!
Jonathan transformed into a fisherman. We used the raft from this summer as a backdrop to his fancy costume. We were a little late, so we didn't give out too much candy. Inside the ward building, they were having a sweet shin-dig, complete with a cake-walk, face painting, and guess how many candy corn in the jar game.

Also, Jonathan decorated the house. We had a jack-o-lantern, a fake rock that screamed/laughed/terrified people as they came trick-or-treating, Caution tape on the railings, some window clings and 2 Happy Halloween signs. Also there are leaves everywhere which make a lovely crunching sound. Overall, I'd say Halloween was a success.
