St. George Stopover

On the way from Ventura to Provo, we decided to stop in St George for a day. It would make the drive home more tolerable and make the honeymoon break a little longer- both of these things are a fantastic idea.

Dinosaur Discovery Museum! They have the most dinosaur footprints. They were super cool to see. We also learned a ton about different time periods from an excellent dinosaur museum volunteer. They also had an exhibit of dinosaur origami! It was super awesome! Those people had mad talent. Jonathan and I learned how to make swans, well, he already knew, but I learned how to.

On the way home, we stopped by this hospital park. There was this really cool tree statue in it.

This was the main reason for stopping. PURPLE cactus!!! I saw it from the road and made Jonathan stop. Some were purple and some were green. I liked them.

St George was a really nice stopping place. We had fun with the dinosaurs and even more fun just hanging out together without school or lack of sleep. Good honeymoon.

蜜月

Ok, so here are some more honeymoon pictures. First we have some more boat ones.

My excitement is so high I can't even keep my eyes open for a picture. I love those dolphins so much!

Handsome boat man and the island we boated past.

Whale tail! We saw about 5 different whales on this boat ride. They were really neat. We would see them come up a couple of times and then go down for a few minutes. Most of the ones we saw would flip their tails up out of the water the last time before they went down for a while. It was hard to catch a good picture, but we had many opportunities. Whales are also really neat.

We figured if we were at the beach, we should eat some good sea food.

They gave us bibs to keep us tidy. Then they brought us a HUGE pot of deliciousness. There was lobster, Alaskan Queen Crab, shrimp, corn, potatoes, and goodness.

Jonathan was all over that lobster.

I was super impressed with the food.

I devoured the food. Man alive, that food was good. I'd go again, in a heartbeat. For the rest of the trip, we slept in, watched movies, read books, went on walks, and ate out. It was a nice break from the crazy life that we've been living for the past few months. We had fun in Ventura and hope to get back there some day. It's a quiet little beach town, but with lots of things to do. It was rad.

The Honeymooners- Ventura

Because we got married in the middle of October, and thus in the middle of school, with me teaching my first year and Jonathan in the middle of classes, we didn't go on a Honeymoon until December. We had Christmas in California with Jonathan's family and then we drove up to Ventura, CA where we spent 4 days. It was an excellent adventure.

We were super close to beaches and saw some cool houses.

BYU...ti? what? I know of BYU H, and BYU- ID. But what is this place?! Ohhhh....clever way to write Beauty. HA!

We saw some lovely sunsets.

Drove though some cool landscapes.

Jonathan loves to wear his socks high.

He is also a fantastic looking stereotypical tourist. Hahahahaha. This man makes me happy. Side note: shirts like his run for about $40 in Ventura....unless you find the Goodwill in the city and buy 2 for $4. The boy likes his Hawaiian shirts.

We got to go on a whale watching boat ride. We saw some sea lions chillin' on the buoy.

Jonathan loved them.

The boat made some sweet waves. I tried to touch them, but never accomplished my goal, mostly because I was a little afraid I'd fall out of the boat.

We went so fast. I almost fell sometimes.

Then, we saw some dolphins. They led us to the rest of their dolphin friends. It was by far the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Tons of dolphins EVERYWHERE!!! They would swim right over to our boat and swim right next to us. They would jump out of the water all the time. I was so giddy happy watching them.

At this point, Jonathan kept telling me to turn around so he could get a picture of my face, but I refused to look away from the dolphins. They are really super neat, if you ever get the chance to go out on a boat and watch dolphins- DO IT!
