2 Months

We have successfully made it past the 2 month mark and so far everyone is still alive...the parents are more tired than we used to be, but we are surviving. Peter is doing awesome. He is growing, learning and usually being a happy baby.

Baby Stats at his 2 month doctor's appointment:
Weight: 10 lbs 11ozs (20 percentile)
Height: 22.15 inches (18 percentile)

He also got 3 shots and he took them like a champ. Before his shots, the doctor was checking him out- looking at his eyes, listening to his heart beat and such and she put him on his tummy to see how well he could hold his head up and see how strong he was. Once he was on his tummy, like usual, his head popped up and he started looking around. He pulled his legs up and tried to push up his bum. The doctor exclaimed, "Wow! He is super strong! He is the strongest 2 month old I've seen!" Bam! Proud mom moment. He might be a little guy, but he's the strongest baby on the block!

He loves:
to smile
being held
the chickens
peeing on people
drinking milk
being in the swing
going for walks in the stroller
the sound of the shower
taking baths
watching the fan slowly rotate around
kicking and punching (he has hit Jonathan and I in the face many times)
making the weirdest sounds ever

He hates:
having gas in his tummy
shots
when he loses his binky and he is trying to fall asleep
anytime he is not picked up fast enough

And now, time for some pictures of the baby.

Hanging out with his monster at 2 months old. It is semi-ridiculous to me how much he has changed just between these last 2 pictures. He looks like a totally different baby. I love that he is aware of me (and others) so much more now. He interacts more and is more fun to play with.

Best Game

If you know me at all, you know that my favorite sport to watch is rugby. It's fast-paced, action-packed, and super fun. I started going to the BYU Rugby games back in 2009 when my roommate, Elise, and I went to support a house of boys from our ward who were on the team. We went to our first game and realized how fantastic and under-rated this sport was- why is football such a big deal when this sport is so much cooler? That first game had us hooked and I've gone to many games since. It didn't hurt that the BYU men's team was (and still is) a fantastic team and they win most of their games. Luckily for me, Jonathan also loves rugby, so we still go to lots of their games.

This Saturday, Peter got to go to his first rugby game, along with my parents, my brother David, Jonathan's sister Beccah, and of course- his parents. David, Jonathan and I have been to games before, but it was the first time for everyone else, and the rugby boys did not let us down. They played Utah State University. We won...well, won is an understatement. We dominated the game. The final score was 91 to 3. Bangarang. We killed them. Peter loved the game so much that he slept through the entire thing!

I wish the kid would sleep like this at home...maybe we should hire the rugby team to practice outside our house in the middle of the night...I bet it would work like a charm. Peter has showed time and again that he can sleep when it is super loud (he might even prefer it), but he will wake up as soon as you put him in a quiet room. He has slept though: rugby game, busy night at Red Robin, child care for a Relief Society activity, 12+ people in the house talking and carrying on.We are working on getting him to sleep when it's quiet...and when there is not someone holding him.

Beccah held the little man for the entire game, and a lot of the time she was here last weekend. He loved her and he loved being cuddled.

At the end of the game, the entire team came over and clapped for us. Neat.
